Features striking, large, ruffled blooms in a soft pink hue, with a deep red centre that creates a dramatic contrast. It typically flowers from late spring through to autumn, offering a continuous display of colour throughout the warmer months. Its glossy, dark green foliage provides a lush backdrop, enhancing the vibrancy of the blooms.

Cultural

Thrives in warm, frost-free climates and prefers a sunny to partly shaded, protected position with well-drained, fertile soil. Regular watering is essential, particularly during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring and summer to encourage lush growth and prolific flowering. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and promote new blooms. In climates with hot summers and cold winters, grow Hibiscus in large containers and move them to a sunny, sheltered spot during winter to protect them from frost.

Landscape Uses

Works beautifully as a feature shrub or small tree, creating a striking focal point in garden beds or containers. Its dense growth makes it an excellent choice for hedging and screening, providing both privacy and a lush, green backdrop. Hibiscus is also ideal for tropical and coastal gardens, thriving in warm climates and complementing other bold, exotic plantings. Additionally, it attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies, enhancing biodiversity in the landscape.
