'Big Ears' is a perennial plant known for its distinctive, velvety, silvery-green leaves that are large and rounded, resembling the shape of a rabbit's ears. The foliage forms a dense, low-growing mound that adds texture to the garden. In late spring to early summer, it produces tall spikes of small, tubular, pale lavender flowers that attract pollinators.

Cultural

Grows best in a full sun to part shade position and prefers well-drained soil. It is extremely easy to grow and will spread in a clumping habit by sending out runners. It is drought-resistant and has low water needs but is susceptible to snails, so treat accordingly.

Landscape Uses

Great as a groundcover or border plant, its silver foliage provides a perfect contrast to plants with brightly coloured blooms or deep green foliage. It is ideal for cottage or low-water gardens. Plant it with other cottage favourites such as Achillea millefolium 'Terracotta' and Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna'.
