Banksia praemorsa 'Red Dawn'
This tall spreading shrub produces vibrant burgundy cylindrical flowers from autumn to winter, providing a key food source for nectar-loving insects and birds.
Cultural
Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Is tolerant of drought and moderate frost, however, it will grow best when watered regularly in dry conditions.
Landscape Uses
Can be used in coastal settings and is quite adaptable to most conditions. Red Dawn can also be placed in pots but must ensure that an Australian native potting mix and fertiliser is used.
