Agapanthus praecox 'Sea Storm' pbr
'Sea Storm' pbr is a compact Agapanthus that forms lush clumps of deep green foliage, which burst with brilliant blue flowers during the warmer months. Part of the Storm series, it is known for its prolific blooming, producing more flower stems than any other Agapanthus variety.
Cultural
Agapanthus can be described as ‘bulletproof’ — they are extremely hardy and will grow in most soil types and situations. They can be divided with a spade and replanted. They require little water and have minimal pest problems. However, young foliage can be tasty for snails and slugs! If necessary, apply bait as a preventive measure. To promote continuous flowering, remove spent blooms and consider pruning away old foliage near the base.
Landscape Uses
Ideal as a border plant, edging walkways, or driveways with its striking foliage and blooms, Agapanthus thrive in containers, making them a popular choice for patio gardens or balconies. Their versatility extends to mass plantings in garden beds, where they create stunning displays of color and texture.
