Citrus x microcarpa Cumquat Courtyard
With many gardens now reduced in size our Courtyard Citrus range is perfect for small courtyards and balcony gardens where people want a fruiting shrub. Specifically grown for containers the Cumquat calamondin Courtyard will bear an abundance of small orange from mid-autumn to winter.
Cultural
Prefers a full sun position, thriving in well-draining soil. Prune to shape after flowering to avoid removing potential fruit. Fertilise in spring and summer with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser formulated for citrus trees. Watch for common pests such as aphids, scale, and spider mites. The fruit typically ripens in late summer to early autumn and is best harvested when it is fully coloured and slightly soft to the touch.
Landscape Uses
A perfect choice for Aussie Mediterranean or edible gardens. Its compact habit makes it ideal for smaller spaces whilst having the benefit of abundant fruiting. Looks fantastic and combines well with our new compact Olea ‘Garden Harvest’ pbr, Laurus ‘Baby Bay’ pbr and Rosemary.
