Bergenia cordifolia 'Bressingham White'
A compact clump-forming evergreen perennial with clusters of pristine white, bell shaped flowers which rise above the foliage in early spring on vertical stems. Leaves are shiny, round and leathery, foliage is green developing bronze tinges in winter.
Cultural
Prefers a full sun to part shade position with moist but well-drained humus rich soil, though can tolerate poor soils. Dead head spent flowers.
Landscape Uses
A fantastic ground cover, perfect for cottage, formal, coastal and rock gardens. Works wonderfully as a border plant, on banks or slopes or as an under planting. Looks great planted under Lagerstroemia or amongst Euphorbia and Lavender.
