'Baby Pete' pbr is a charming, compact Agapanthus variety, known for its small size and prolific flowering habit. It features slender, strap-like leaves that form neat, grassy clumps, creating a tidy appearance in the garden. In summer, it produces an abundance of small, violet-blue, trumpet-shaped flowers on sturdy stems that rise just above the foliage.

Cultural

Agapanthus can be described as ‘bulletproof’ — they are extremely hardy and will grow in most soil types and situations. They can be divided with a spade and replanted. They require little water and have minimal pest problems. However, young foliage can be tasty for snails and slugs! If necessary, apply bait as a preventive measure. To promote continuous flowering, remove spent blooms and consider pruning away old foliage near the base.

Landscape Uses

Ideal as a border plant or for edging walkways and driveways with its striking foliage and blooms, Agapanthus thrives in containers, making it a popular choice for patio gardens and balconies. Its versatility also extends to mass plantings in garden beds, where it creates stunning displays of colour and texture.
