Nandina domestica 'Moon Bay'
Fine, red to golden foliage, small fairly insignificant flowers followed by red berries in autumn. Foliage colour intensifies during winter or when grown in nutrient depleted soils. It has an upright, dense growth habit and is very hardy.
Cultural
Prefers a part shade to full sun position. Tolerates most soils, but prefers soil with good drainage. Is drought and frost hardy. Responds well to pruning and can be cut back quite hard. Fertilise in spring.
Landscape Uses
Perfect for low hedges, borders and rockeries. Very effective when mass planted. Great for oriental themed gardens, or to add a splash of colour. Looks great planted with Magnolia alba, Loropetalum 'Plum Gorgeous' and Citrus.
