Olive Varieties

A long lived slow growing evergreen tree, attractive silver grey foliage and a gnarled grey trunk with age. Small white flowers during Spring, ripen to black in Autumn

Olives require a full sun position and are tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions including poor and rocky soils. Whilst drought tolerant, to ensure maximum fruit yield, it is important to water well during flower and fruit production, especially if growing in containers. Fertilise in Autumn and Spring.

A symbol of peace and happiness the olive tree has been grown for centuries for its fruit, oil and timber. Perfect for Mediterranean low water gardens.
Suitable for windbreaks, screens, topiary or specimen trees.

Olea 'Del Morocco'

This attractive evergreen grows to 2m, producing small-medium fruit (3-4g). Early start to bearing. High yields. Ripens mid season.

A lovely small growing olive. 2m x 2m, but could be clipped lower. Medium sized olives for table-eating or oil production. Perfect for small gardens and pots. A great companion to 'Lemonicious' in small courtyards or entertaining areas.

Originating from France, this variety produces green olives that are crisp and crunchy, with a nutty flavour. Ripens mid/late season. Cold tolerant.
