Pistacia chinenesis

A small to medium sized deciduous tree with a rounded head and upright habit. Dark green, glossy leaves transform to a vibrant orange-red colour in Autumn and well into Winter. Flowers are showy and red and emerge in Spring.

CULTURAL

A moderate to fast growing plant which thrives in moist, fertile and well drained soils in full sun or partial shade. Establishes well in dry, compacted or sandy environments but is not tolerant of waterlogging. Minor pruning, particularly during the initial stages, is required to maintain dense and uniform shape.

LANDSCAPE USE

Popular street tree due to it striking Autumn foliage and small eventual height.Also lovely in the home garden for a feature tree to enjoy stunning foliage and Autumn color.
