Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Oakville Highlight’ pbr
Fastigiate narrow, deciduous tree with lovely vibrant Autumn foliage, resembling the maple leaf. Leaves are mid green during Spring and Summer turning shades of orange, purple, red or yellow in Autumn. Inconspicuous yellow-green flowers appear in May.
Easy to grow, hardy shrub which thrives in deep, fertile and well-drained soils. Grows best in a bright, sunny position, however, it is tolerant of partial shade. Requires regular watering and may benefit from mulching after planting. Requires minimal pruning to maintain natural structure of tree.
A narrow growing form of the popular large growing Liquidamber. Plant as single conical garden specimen where Autumn color will be the feature. Also look lovely planted in rows. Great in the home garden with the available room. Underplant with Helleborus or Nandina Moonbay.
