Clipped balls & globes

This compact, rounded form makes a lovely garden feature, either as a single feature or planted in multiples for an interesting design.

CULTURAL

Suitable shrubs are selected with a compact bushy habit. They are trimmed numerous times to form a compact rounded globes. Generally trimmed with Garden shears by eye where fresh new grow is trimmed off working shears round the ball shape. To maintan compact round ball plants are trimmed often at least 3-4 times during growing seasons.

LANDSCAPE USE

Landscape designs featuring balls in garden beds with small growing shrubs planted around them are growing in popularity. Often used as corner planting in formal garden beds. Different size balls planted together can produced an interesting look and design. The make a lovely feature when planted in containers and placed either size of and entrance way
